Sprint & Spirit

Flight Time

Nice, I have Wi-fi at our hotel in Germany, so I will still blip occasionally. Getting on the plane today was an adventure. Apparently Lufthansa sent the wrong plane to Detroit, so we were overbooked by 100 people. They were offering us $400, then $800 vouchers to take a different flight. Also, checking in my suitcase took $30 because the line was incredibly slow due to the panic.

Thank goodness we all made it. I chatted with familiar faces and new faces alike. There are about 30 of us on the trip, and I'd only interacted with about 1/3 of us before this trip. I chatted with my Europe roommate and watched two movies on the plane.

One thing I came to realize from watching movies is how much effort and how many people it takes to make a film come together. The actors, directors, and producers get the glory, but don't forget about the caterers and chefs, costume designers, and cost accountants. For any big project, it takes a team to build up a single pebble into a mighty fortress. When I was in elementary and middle school, I mostly tried to do work on my own. But we're called to experience Life Together, and part of that is learning how to work together in academics, work, and faith.

Proverbs 27:17: "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."

Shalom.
