I finished reading part two of Ramez Naam's excellent Nexus trilogy, Crux, yesterday and began reading the final installment, Apex, today. The meta-humans that are created by the Nexus drug do not seem likely to herald a bright new dawn for mankind; things are looking decidedly apocalyptic as humans view meta-humans with suspicion, fear and dread, while the meta-humans regard humans as a pesky annoyance. However this story ends, it promises to be an awfully thrilling ride.
