Inse(c)t day!

Day offfir Caleb today, inse(c)t day (kids used to call it this) - fortunately I also had a day off.

I had a lovely day with Caleb (started at 7:30am) - we went to the supermarket, had to buy doughnuts (I’m known as doughnut nanny) and also a toy as a treat.

Then on to my sisters and to take her to the hospital - she saw the GP yesterday and had been instructed to go to the hospital today for tests.

After dropping her off, back home for lunch. Caleb was keen to play with pl*yd*h, so he had fun rolling out, smashing shapes and generally making a mess. He the wanted to do some colouring (previous activity tidied away and colour stuff out). He has good fine skills for colouring, takes his time although easily bored with a picture and moves on to another. Radio was on and we were singing away.

Then pop pinto town - collected a parcel and happened to go to the toy shop - another treat (isn’t that what grandparents are there for to treat their grandchildren).

Back home to play and the mummy and Austin turned up (he had eaten his doughnut by this time), quick chat then they left.

Back up to the hospital to pick up my sister - tests ok (a collapsed gall bladder), treatment with medication and await a consultants appointment. Dropped her him for a rest.

Back home - tea, feet up. :)
