The little touches

Tonight we went out for a belated birthday meal. It was a no brainer where to go….the restaurant that sent me a birthday offer of buy one three course meal get one free. The food was fabulous, sticky chicken starter, pan fried cod and prawns for main and sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream washed down with a bottle of white. The service was excellent and the little touches were much appreciated.
The last thing I did before we left for the restaurant was take my umbrella out of my handbag, we won’t need this I said but when we came out of the restaurant the heavens had opened and the roads were quite treacherous.
