Charlie apple

Revlon Cosmetics sold a chrome plated apple in the 1970s, filled with sold “Charlie” perfume.

Probably named after one of the founders, Charles Revson. (only a guess!)

Here is one, some 50 years old, a present from me to my new bride, a bit battered but still with its fragrant contents.

They were sold with a chain or a leather strip, shown here, coiled like the eponymous snake and apple.
