Reading in unusual places
The half term challenge for the boys is to get a picture of reading in an unusual place. The eldest got his in front of the fire on the boat on Friday evening and both of them were on the roof of the boat this afternoon. Thankfully, the rain had stopped by then! I had high hopes of somehow managing to get one on the swing bridge, but the weather was so awful there was no way we were stopping to try and sort that out!
I had a pretty lonely time on the back of the boat this morning, the husband kept the boys entertained whilst I got us back to Foxton. It was so wet it was the only way to do it. Eldest and husband very happily did the road and the bridge. Thankfully, the sun came out at lunch time and we had a lovely lunch and got ourselves back to the marina. In fact, the eldest got us back to the marina, which was fantastic effort from him. And then he somehow managed to fall off the pontoon into the marina when we were back. We still don't know how it happens, but he had a very good dunking, got utterly soaked. Change of clothes, cuddles and hot chocolate and all was fine again, he handled it very well.
