Twenty-Four Hours Out
I’d always thought that a meeting of volunteers at 10:30 on a Monday was a bit of an odd day and time but after an early alarm, shower and breakfast I set off for Mousehole. It’s not far but the roads make a journey of it.
Having arrived I parked on the jetty, purchased two hours parking and walked up to the meeting venue. Inside there were a couple of gents seated and when asked they offered the well known phrase; “meeting was yesterday mate”.
A coffee in a cafe facing the pier looking out at the view in the sunshine before setting off home was some consolation.
Driving home on a whim I detoured into Porthleven to see the new statues adjacent to the harbour - more on that tomorrow.
Day one of what is looking to be a busy week.
