Porthleven is the most southerly port in Great Britain, it was a harbour of refuge when this part of the Cornish coastline was infamous for wrecks in the days of sail and always worth a visit.
I stopped off on my way home yesterday to see the new statue by a local artist, ‘Waiting For Fish’, worth the trip and I thought the seagull a nice touch.

Still plenty of holidaymakers about with many more to come over half term next week and Porthleven was busy.

Elsewhere the run up to the ‘November Ceremonies’ is underway, Poppy Collection Boxes are being distributed and the dates and times for the many planned events. I spent the afternoon preparing the family Poppy Crosses for the first laying on Saturday.
