The big blue

A luxury last lie in to mark the end of the “holidays”. Mum popped over unexpectedly, I love when she comes over just for a chat. We went out for a walk and discovered a young deer with its leg caught in a fence. It was pretty grim. We shifted him up to the hilltop and set up a camera trap to see who’s about. S found it all fascinating and had a lot questions, nothing seems to phase her. We carried on with our walk to the point and had tea with pastel de natas. This evening for dinner we ate our carrots, they’re very pretty to look at (see extra) and so tasty. I peel and chop them then coat them in honey, olive oil, chilli flakes, ground cinnamon and garlic granules and roast them.
