Out of the black, into the red

Isn't it the way of the world?

It's foul outside. Whilst it might be considered nice weather for ducks in some parts, ours (including the five new recruits that arrived at the weekend from our local bird sanctuary) are not enjoying it; the stream's too swollen by the 130mm of rain since yesterday, so no splishy-splashy is going on. They're obviously not white-water breeds, Muscovies, Pekins, Khaki Campbells and Cayugas...

With the big wet soaking the paddocks - at last - tonight's blip features some fancy tea light holders on the kitchen table. To get the effect I turned out all the lights in our open plan living/kitchen area, just backlighting with the hall lights to get the shadows and side lighting with a red light from a headtorch. Pretty effective I reckon - well, for an 'available light' landscape photographer like me at least :-)
