Early Stars over Kaituna Cabbage Trees

I had plans on shooting another sunset tonight, but unfortunately by the time I got to my location the low cloud on the horizon put paid to my plans. So, I thought I'd shoot an early evening star shot, following on from my weekend in Tekapo.

So here are the first stars of the night - shot just before 7pm at home with the moonlight over my shoulder illuminating the cabbage trees at the top end of the garden.

Not sure what the rest of the night will be like, but let's hope the clear skies continue - I might be able to get a star trail in once the moon dips below the horizon...
