For the record - ONLY.

Some weeks ago the three Mousecutears/Musketeers were on one of our Garden centre visits and I lifted this wee thing, tentatively ID-ed as Opuntia microdasys albispina. (One of the only 2-3 I can ID)

At this point I ought to stress - AGAIN - I never vandalise Garden Centre Plants; I just feel that, if a bit has been lucky/unlucky enough to fall off, it's fair game for rescue & try out.

By now I can tell the "force" required to lift a tiny bit of plant, and this resisted; from which I deduce it has, at least, rooted.  

My oft repeated phrase - "We shall see."
