October Sunrise

The sun just began to crest the trees on the last morning of my trip when I went out for a brief walk before breakfast. Two other photographers were already there, although they had more equipment with them to capture the event. They were also better dressed for the rather chilly morning.

In the distance beyond the trees on the left, the valley was filled with hazy mist. I'm not sure the Sony has the fidelity to capture those subtle details, but overall not a bad shot considering the amount of adjustments I made to lift the shadows.

I think it looks better on black to see detail in the shadow.
