Eguisheim

Probably our favourite of the fortified villages. The beautiful cobbled narrow street ( traffic-free) follows an 'egg' shape so you just keep slightly turning to get back to where you started. So so pretty and charming. We had a cheese and sausage tasting and a light lunch and a beer in the sunshine. This was after visiting a number of chateaux and a walk in the vineyards. Chilling at our airbnb tonight with the local produce we bought and some lovely Alsace wine - over another game of Ticket to Ride. Extra- deserted stork's nest on top of the church.
