A dull and damp day. The decorator arrived at 8. At 9.30 I set off for Windermere to do the weekend grocery shop. I took two phone snaps while walking around the back of my car and as the weather didn’t improve until dusk I got no more.

I cleaned two of the kitchen drawers. Surprisingly there were only a few items that I knew I wouldn’t need again. Later I tackled all the holiday leaflets etc that have accumulated over the years and were in three places. There was a North York Moors railway timetable for 2009 and some walk routes cut from the local newspaper dated 2006. Now the Cumbria info is in a drawer and everything else of interest/relevance sorted into counties in a box file.
