South Coast day

Today was what is called the 'South Coast Adventure' day. Breakfast and preparing packed lunches - again a few issues that we needed to sort as Rayburn representatives, and pitching in with various things. Out in the coach with Bjarni our driver, and headed to Hvolsvollur - driver took us to the wrong location, which cost some time; then to the Lava Centre - an excellent exhibition which was enjoyed, then out to Vik - time for shopping, and some hot food; then to the black sand beach, which was excellent and they loved that - back and to the car park at the Solheimajõkull glacier where we met the crew from South Coast Adventure. They kitted us all out and then walked up to and onto the glacier. A great experience for all, and the weather was kind. This all took a long time with such a large group so it was too dark for us to stop at the two planned waterfalls which we had driven past earlier. Back to the accommodation for a second night, and chatted to chef to aim to create something more child friendly for the final night there - back to my accommodation for the evening and another wet night - had seen a brief glimpse of the aurora on the first night but not tonight.
