Bin it!

I’m assisting the AM with a garage clear-out. His mum, at 94 years old, has just moved into a nursing home. She did very well to remain at home by herself for so long, but we’ve been calling in with meals every day for the past few years (divided between us and the AM’s sister) so granny had a lot of support.

So we’re tidying out the garage and then the house with a view to letting it out. This will help towards the cost of the nursing home, which specialises in dementia care and is expensive. The staff there are really lovely and granny is getting excellent care, so it’s a better situation. I have to confess to being very glad to get all those weekdays back for doing things other than cooking and delivering a 5pm dinner!

This is the garage after three runs to the dump with a very full trailer! I’ll be glad when we get this finished and move on to the house. I’m hoping that will be easier; watch this space.
