Star and Garter Richmond

The grandchildren were very good overnight…did not wake until after 7am. Took them home about 10.30 and then as it was another lovely sunny day I decided to go for a bike ride and did a loop of Twickenham and then over the river to Richmond and back via Ham. This is a view as seen from Twickenham riverside of the old Star and Garter Home on the top of Richmond Hill and to the left the very ornate Petersham Hotel ( going there in December  for a festive afternoon tea) . The star and Garter building has now been converted into luxury flats and a replacement for ex service personnel was built in Surbiton.

Lots of people walking on the river paths and many sitting in the sun on Richmond Hill looking down at the river…many with drinks from the Roebuck pub there! Very warm for this time of year. 19/20C I saw someone with just a crop top, very few people wearing coats!
