Reykjavik, Blaa Lonid and the Aurora

The final full day of the trip. Loaded the luggage onto the coach and headed for Reykjavik via the Hellisheidi power station. Photos at the Sun Voyager and Harpa - incredible building. Let the students have a wander and went to an excellent bakery for coffee and pastries. A wander round the shops, then to the City Hall where there is usually a large 3D map of Iceland, but it had been removed for a week. Out to Krysuvik and Gunnuhver, and then to the Blue Lagoon. Group had a great time there, then back to check in to the Hotel Cabin - evening meal, then down to the harbour to see the Northern Lights putting on a show with Yoko Ono's Peace Tower, and then back to the hotel for a few pints and a chat to teachers from another school and then the staff of the school I was with. We were only going to have about 4 hours sleep...
