Up at a horrible hour but a smooth journey to St Pancras. We actually made such good time that we had to kill some in Costa. Took a while to get through security, and our Eurostar carriage was incredibly loud (goodbye chance of a nap) but soon enough we were in Paris!
We headed to our hotel in Bercy to check in, then back out in the rain to go to Sacre Couer. It’s pretty much the only thing we didn’t manage to do last time we were in Paris so good to visit, and the view was lovely even in the rain. We spent the afternoon wandering around Montmartre and stopped for a coffee to hide from the weather for a bit.
We went out for dinner in Bercy Village to a lovely Italian. Neither of us had really noticed that we hadn’t eaten lunch (or much breakfast) so we were both starving. We had a huge pizza each and Ma even managed a huge slab of tiramisu, and neither of us felt particularly full.
