Which I've neither managed nor experienced before.
I ought to point out, before "he" tells me, I was perfectly aware it happens, but have never seen such an obvious, text-book, example.
THIS is why it is imperative that you remove all of a Dandelion root. The root is one I accidentally left in the ground last year, the top(s) are an indication that last year's one, totally removed would have been vastly better than this/next years six new plants.
When Ah waz a lad ... we used to be told that if a bit of twitch was long enough to have two ends it would grow. Even though we now know it's not, strictly, quite true.

( couch, couchgrass, quackgrass, quicks, scutch, squitch, twitch, wickens, wicks )" I knew it as Twitch for years before I found out it was Couch-grass,. and I'd never heard any of the others until, comparatively, recently.
We learned, many years ago, you need to be damn desperate to take to the roads on a bank holiday; whatever the weather. And since we've been retired lo these many moons why bother with the hassle? Especially when vast quantities of weeds etc. need a fierce coat of looking at.
