Dumfries House

This was my 4th visit to Dumfries House since it first opened to the public. There is always something interesting to explore or discover. I have even been filmed during the episode of Antiques road show as an onlooker a couple of years ago.
Today we walked down to the new workshop area where they have apprentices for hospitality , wood work and stone masons.
There is restoration of stone work going on around this old mill wheel. I wonder if they will eventually tackle the wheel but it will need an enormous amount of work.
On the strength of our original visit to DH we even followed the family history to Cardiff having already been to Mount Stuart House.
