Cattistock Hunt Point to Point
Up early again this morning, this time to catch the train back to Weymouth, it is the May Bank Holiday and everybody had the same idea, but they were all headed for the beach.
We were met by Trish, who said shed never seen so many people get off the train.
The car was already packed with a picnic and it wasn't long before we were heading along country roads to the Point to Point.
It is a beautiful spring day at last the sun is shinning.
Point to Pointing is amateur horse racing held by hunts all over England, although they are an official race course with proper fences, they are across farmland and not contained in a fenced race course like National Hunt Racing. The courses have a natural view of the whole course and countryside.
I thought it would be an opportunity for Pam to see something local and part of my old life.
Many of my friends were there even a great friend who lives in Lancashire! Fantastic to see them all and in one place to, very convenient! I saw nearly all my ex skittle team! In fact I still play when I come over in the Autumn.
Tonight we are watching a programme on NZ!
