As it says, "If the shoe fits..."   Happy All Hallows' Eve the start of Allhallowtide, a time to remember the saints and all those dearly departed souls.  It is time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is very thin.  I will be participating in a webinar for the next 4 days on that very subject, Beyond the Veil.  I am also remembering Cousin Ann Foster, her grandmother was my 9x great grandmother and her father was brother to my 8x great grandmother.  She was accused of witchcraft in 1692 along with her daughter and granddaughter.  She confessed to save them and was imprisoned in Salem jail.  She died before she could be hanged.  Her daughter and granddaughter survived.  Here is a link to the song by Sting, Soul Cake.  Going "a soulin'" was the medieval origin of our "trick-or-treating".  It was sung on All Hallows' Eve as well at Christmas time.
