Swans

The outbreak of avian flu is really quite worrying and today's news that restrictions are coming into force on the 7th November is further bad news for poultry farmers. Our friends have several hundred turkeys which need to be kept safe in the run up to Christmas. It will make a large hole in their income if the worst happens so we're keeping our fingers very much crossed for them.

We went over to Kings Norton in Birmingham to visit the youngest son and his fiancee this afternoon. Unfortunately he had work this evening so we didn't have as much time together as planned but really great to see them both and catch up properly.

I think it was Technophobe who had been into Stratford and posted a swan blip and she remarked that there weren't many swans about. I hope my blip is reassuring and to say that there were quite a few to be seen being fed, of course.

A bit of glow and soft focus added to the photo with a Lightroom preset. I'm getting a bit lazy with my editing but as it's an option to use presets then why not if it saves time.
