Closing The House

Today is the final day that Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse is open for visitors.

The weather was rather mixed and the visitors were few in number. The Halloween events around the area were much of an attraction to children.

The visitors that did come through were very interested in the house and the collection. We certainly enjoyed many conversations.

By 4:00 P.M. the last visitors had left and the doors were closed. It has been a very busy season. We are certainly looking forward to next year when we open again.

Today’s entry shows the curtains which divide the Great Hall from the Dining Room corridor.

The next scheduled visit to the House is the 7th December for our rearranged Afternoon Tea Party.
