helping hand

In this picture it is clear that there is a hand that is reaching up for help, while some is reaching up as a helping hand. In the novel A long Way Gone, Ishmael is slowly starting trust one of his therapists. She has slowly convinced Ishmael that she is only there to make him happy, by providing him with the rap music he once loved. It is noticeable that Ishmael is simply searching for the love that he once had, when his family was present in his life. Ishmael's violent, negative and rebellious attitude towards people has simmered down.
