Chartwell
Back blip
Filling in a few back blips so this was taken back in September.
Left my Mums just after nine and headed to Chartwell, home of Churchill. A lovely sunny day and we enjoyed a walk round the rounds. Not many seats to sit on by the lake which was abit disappointing. We had a look in Churchills studio where some of his paintings were displayed. He was a talented artist.
A few butterflies along the butterfly walk , plenty of apples on the trees and ground where members of the public were invited to pick them up and places them in a basket ready for cider making.
We had an icecream looking over the grounds and watched to alpacas in a field.
We were hoping to meet two friends for lunch but sadly they had come down with Covid.
We found a lovely pub though and enjoyed a really good roast pork.
We stayed near Gatwick airport over night , about 30 minutes away from North terminal.
