Beech Leaves
We took the car up to Ovenstone and walked in Hamilton Wood this morning. It was great to be back among trees and autumn leaves, but it was dreadfully muddy. We’ve had lots of rain since we were last there, and the estate workers have obviously been doing work in the wood, driving around in their wee off-road vehicles and churning up the tracks. Thankfully I was well prepared with wellies, but Geordie was a mucky mess by the time we got back to the car.
The temperature has dropped here and it’s noticeable. Keeping the heating off is gradually becoming more of a challenge. Going to bed about 7pm and cosying up with the electric blanket and Geordie helps. As does my new Oodie and wearable electric blanket for when I’m sitting still during the day. So many people are dreading this winter, and the challenge of keeping warm. So tragic in a wealthy country like Britain.
My symptoms are not resolving, and I’m trying to plough on regardless, but getting frustrated. The antibiotics have been no help, so the diagnosis may have been wrong. Talking to Doc again on Friday, can’t wait.
