Moorland Wander

Decided to make the most of the better part of the day by having a walk this morning. After breakfast we drove up to Goathland.

We walked down into the valley before scrambling over the boulders to the foot of Mallayan Spout. Jet and Richard patiently waited whilst I grabbed my photo. Whilst Jet enjoys his walks he is not up to bouldering anymore.

There was a fair amount of water in the main valley. Less was coming over the mossy waterfall that is Mallyan Spout. However as it was the main objective I have posted it as an extra. We really enjoyed the autumn colours along the valley.

Called in for a very welcome coffee in Goathland before returning home for lunch. It is now a rather damp and blustery evening.
