Earlswood Lakes

Just got back from a very enjoyable day with mrsfb, meeting up with her two best old school friends, N & L, along with their husbands. We met at N's barn house in Earlswood. Christmas has already arrived there as we were offered specialty coffee from a coffee advent calendar (declined) and mince pies (accepted).  Then after a very nice lunch (well the first two courses), mainly courtesy of M&S, we made the short drive to Earlswood Lakes for an after lunch amble. (Note to self: next time, when they say it isn't going to be muddy don't take any notice, put on your walking boots which are in car anyway). Returning to the barn house we had dessert, a very tasty apple and blackberry crumble. M&S triumphed again I think. We also played a couple of rounds of Mexican Train which we were introduced to by L when we stayed in Cumbria.

All in all a super day.

Tomorrow we are off to Westonbirt. We were supposed to be taking a couple of friends but sadly one is not very well at the moment. It's a been a funny old week really, not everything has gone to the original plan.
