Mountains beyond the Black Isle
Forgive me, but this picture from earlier this week is one I wanted to show you. It’s from a layby on the approach to the town of Dingwall. The verdant foreground is typical of the Black Isle, which is a peninsula, not an island, famed for its fertile farmland. Some of the hills belong to a glen called Strathconon, while the others lie further afield. There should be a competition for photos taken from laybys. Best viewed large.
