Craning for the sky

At last the sun came out and the sky cleared. With my friend departed, I've got back into writing my novel. I'm driven by the feeling that what I'm doing is quite innovatory. I mean I have never read anything like this. There are no detectives and no-one gets killed. The closest thing I can think of is the old tv sitcom, Dad's Army. You have an ensemble cast and each chapter is an episode, a little story. It's hard work, but I hope it is worthwhile.
