Malta

Its been a long day but we finally arrived in Valletta, Malta just as the sun was setting and the shops were opening. We’ve had a lovely few drinks and a meal and are looking forward to seeing it all in the light.

We immediately noticed this memorial to Daphne Caruana Galizia a journalist who was murdered. We saw a play about it at the Edinburgh Festival a few years ago ‘Drink Rum with ex-pats’ which turned out to be far less jolly than promised! (Which was the point).
