River of Light

Backblip

After an intense week it was good to have an evening off. A and I went into Liverpool on the train to visit the ten art installations of the River of Light, mainly based around the Docks. It is an annual event but the installations are always different.

This one was supposed to be four strangers joining together in a game to send the lights up the whole sculpture. I took part but there were no instructions, even to say we were working together (we found that in information afterwards). Whatever it was we were supposed to do it obviously happened every so often anyway. To the right of this picture part of another installation can be seen, the lit up "dandelions". There were a lot of those all along the front of the Liver Building.

The extra is the last one we saw. You could even walk under these giant bubbles.

The second extra was an experiment with one of the other installations that was moving. I hand held a long shutter speed to get the light trail effect.

After seeing them all we went to a lovely South Asian Hawker Food restaurant to sample and share five different dishes. The food was delicious.
