Mastication for the nation

Another surprise package arrived today, this time full of sugar free items.
These contain a remarkable product called Xylitol, which is a natural sweetener, derived from the fibrous parts of plants. Unlike saccharin & aspartame, it has no aftertaste and has a sweet taste identical to sugar.
In the interest of my patients, it falls to me to taste test before recommending products, hence the samples.
The mints are quite refreshing but sadly the gum loses it's flavour after about a minute, so that's not for me :-(
I've yet to try the toothpaste & nasal spray and also find a tester for the sweetener as I don't have sugar on anything at home.
