Beverly Glen
I can’t think how much I spent on Ubers today, or rather Lyft which is the cheaper and supposedly more fair version. I had a breakfast with AMC in Santa Monica at Huckleberry cafe owned by the same people as Rustic Canyon. So that was a long drive, I then raced back to the hotel and packed up and checked up before going up here to Beverly Glen for lunch with Dante. It was a local development in a rural canyon that was the nearest place linking West Hollywood and the office in Burbank. Good gossipy lunch surrounded by wealthy botoxed people, men and women, it was like having lunch with a different species.
I bought a jumper on sale up there. Then went back down to Melrose and bought some make up before WALKING back to the hotel and doing emails before driving to the airport.
If only there was some meaningful public transport in LA I stopped by a station still under construction today and it’s a new line. It’s not massively used because they don’t have a network of stations and the whole area is so sprawling that there is no sense of neighborhood.
