North Berwick

Nonna has two guests in the house who are stars of British Croquet. I met them both last night, and they seemed pleasant. Though, it seems they have dwelled too much on their celebrity status.

I decided to spend the rest of the day at North Berwick. I saw the bass rock from a distance but could make out the lighthouse. At the seabird watch, I noticed a seagull harmed by a fishing hook stuck to its leg. Usually, I am not fond of seagulls - and find them particularly unhygienic and scary. This time though, I was sympathetic to it. Two brave bird watchers attempted to lure the bird using some crisps by a lady who was also upset by the situation. The bird sadly flew off as the guys came in near despite having a bit of its tummy filled. Sigh.

I am returning to Edinburgh, where I have to meet a friend with whom I had a misunderstanding a year ago. He is from my MSc. I am unsure how things will be, but I hope we reconnect. However, I am hesitant, as I am also uncertain if I want to have anyone back in my life.
