Smash Cake

We went to our niece's son's birthday party today. It is his first birthday, so the party was an extra special event.
My niece's brother-in-law is a photographer who shoots a Nikon Z 5. He said that he is planning on getting the Nikon Z 9. He told me about all the upgrades they have made. What impressed him the most was the autofocus improvement. He explained it, but I would like to know more. 
Meantime, the smash cake was a big hit with the birthday boy!
