It was 77 degrees F today!! In NOVEMBER! 77! What is that in C? It is slightly too warm for Sam in C. It is absolutely-everyone-must-go-outside in C. 25 C. Again, November. 

I decided to go to Riverside Park. Everyone in the DMV area (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) decided to go to Great Falls Park, or one of the parks near it. Every single person. While driving 4 mph we all got to stare at some mansions. One is for sale. I would never buy it, even if I won tonight's $1.6 billion lottery. The traffic there is terrible. 

Now, if I win tonight's $1.6 billion lottery, do you think Kate would offer me more than park benches for the botanical garden? ALL the park benches? Maybe a tree? Maybe the tree that has those little bell blossoms? ;-)

I did not win. Sigh.

Georgia is on course to become one of the world’s fastest-growing economies this year thanks to the influx of Russians fleeing. More than 112,000 have moved in. 43,000 moved in shortly after Russia invaded. Between April and September, Russians transferred more than $1 billion to Georgia. They are expecting 10% growth for 2022. 

Iran finally admitted to selling Russia drones. They say they sold them before the invasion but the US refutes that. The EU has sanctions on Iran because of it. Switzerland has adopted those sanctions. 

Ukrainian soldiers love the German anti-aircraft guns. They are "self-propelled" - they are tanks. They look like tanks. Germany gave Ukraine 30 Gepard units.

There is a video that shows a Ukrainian paratrooper single-handedly destroying a tank. 

There is another video showing three Russian tanks going through the Ukrainian countryside before Ukraine stopped them and caused the soldiers inside to run. British defense officials say that these additional Russian soldiers, with their lack of training, offer "little additional offensive combat capability." A group of untrained Russian soldiers supposedly fled from the front line and have been hiding in the forest for two weeks. Their relatives said they didn't get the required military training and were deployed without ammunition or food. Using soldiers as cannon fodder in Afghanistan may have helped lead to the Soviet Union collapsing. 

Four Russian and foreign students sabotaged railways to oppose the Ukrainian war. 

To celebrate Russia's Unity Day the Ukrainian postal service released stamps dedicated to the strike on the Crimean bridge last month.
