Honeyman State Park Cleawox Lake, Dunes City, OR
Our first afternoon in Honeyman State Park.
We set up camp with our little camper trailer in jig time.
An evening walk combined doing a bit of kayak reconnaissance with a fantastic tour of the dunes on the southern shore of Cleawox Lake.
A most unusual place to say the least; entirely novel for us.
A stream's outlet was blocked by the sand dunes long, long ago just after the ice age abated (more about the sand dunes in a coming blip).
The Cleawox Lake is presently 87 acres of pristine water on which to kayak.
The dunes are predicted to fill the lake in sometime in the far flung future.
Gosh, what a fortunate thing to be share this instant of time on this lake together .
