Swallowtail Stays Still for a Moment!

I stalked it, ran after it, cursed it, and when it finally settled down it chose a wet, closed, danelion to drink from. I am so happy, I think this is the most beautiful butterfly in our area. The Swiss call it by its Latin name, Papilio Machaon. Click here to see its wonderful furry body.

After yesterday's downpour, today the crickets were singing in the fields, the apple blossom had started to bloom with that wonderful heady scent, and it really felt like spring.
