Sheepdog trials, one man and..

We had a visitor on the croft today. One of N's sheep got through the fence with her lamb. Didn't do any damage, but I didn't want it to nibble any of my newly planted trees, or peas, or beans, or anything else..

Tanni came into force. Having never herded sheep before, the instinct was there.. She sat when I told her, she went forward when I told her, and G, Tanni and me managed to get her back through the gap. A bit of string, and fence repair done.

Had I taken this picture an hour or two before, the sheep would have been in full sun. It's been beautiful today, hot, sunny, almost too warm for work, but I did manage to weed the raspberries (nearly).. Ground is still soaking wet, but the drain I dug yesterday is working well, removing a steady stream of water..
