Cauliflower Fungus
After almost a whole day of rain yesterday, the walk that A and I enjoyed at NT Felbrigg definitely had a damp autumn feel about it.
This impressive cauliflower fungus (presuming that I've identified it correctly) was about 24 inches in height. Apparently it's edible, has a sweet smell and tastes of hazelnuts. However, eating wild fungi is not something that I would risk.
The extra is of an equally impressive trolley of squash which was outside the NT shop.
Just as we finished our coffee in the walled garden it began to rain, so excellent timing. According to the weather forecast there is a squally weather front on its way to us in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
