Golden Waxcap

Feeling rather zombied this morning, a bracing walk with C and the Megs helped to clear my head a bit .... for a bit.   There were lots of interesting fungi in the close cropped turf between river and sea, this which I think is Golden Waxcap, perhaps the prettiest mushroom I've seen this year.    

Riding the lift in my energy levels, back home I made Celeriac and Mushroom soup using home grown celeriac.  A nice lunch after which I forced my brain into gear to work on the appeal letter for Ruth's disabled facilities grant.   Forwarded to Ruth, I now have her helpful suggestions for a final draft.   After a little siesta I made pizza on a cheese scone base later shared with Jamie and Katie.   Hoping a restorative night's sleep will breath some more life into me for tomorrow.
