A bluejay waiting for his turn to get some peanuts.
When I came home this afternoon, there was a lot of bird activity around the yard. I bought 2 new feeders on Saturday, so I decided it was time to put them out. The chickadees quickly adopted both feeders. The crows were sitting in one of the trees, so I put some peanuts on the railing for them. One crow managed to get a beak full of peanuts, then the bluejays started swooping in and grabbing a peanut. When the crow left, the bluejays finished off the peanuts.
Another mild November day, but it was damp. The occasional shower, but not enough to stop us from working. Tomorrow will be a shock to the system when temperatures return to normal, with a forecast high of 8 C.
