Fungi
Before we headed back north Clickychick needed to revisit one of the shops at Trentham Gardens, to check on details of her purchase. Knowing we wouldn't have much chance of finding blips once we were on the road I looked for potential blips.
There in the middle of the pedestrian area, carefully surrounded by a fence to protect it, was a dead tree. It had four or five different fungi sprouting from it. I found this one the most photogenic. I haven't given it a definite identification, I am tentatively saying it is "Late Oyster" Panellus serotinus.
The run back was uneventual, apart from when we joined the M6 the rain was torrential slowing traffic almost to a standstill. The rain eased as we traveled north only to become heavier just when we arrived home and had to park the caravan..
