Leaving The Match

We’re thinking that Yeovil Town could be given a new name, Yeovil Town Nil, after yet another goalless performance tonight at home to Maidenhead Utd who, fortunately, we’re just as hapless in front of goal as we we were. 

With both defences looking good at least, it made for a rather uninspiring 0-0 draw. We’ve been involved in 9 draws now out of 18 games so far and only managed to win 2 of the others. At least tonight’s point lifted us just out of the relegation zone!

The photo shows fans “streaming” (more like a trickle) out of the ground after the game. 

The slightly impressionistic effect is due to a mixture of the lighting, drizzle and my unsteady hand, I think!

It was a very sparsely attended game on a miserable day weather wise, so miserable that I even gave golf a miss this morning, saving my energies for varnishing the bedroom and the “excitement”of the game.

In between, we picked Sophie up from school for her dance class and sleepover.
