Inspired by a spire

Unlike many Lakeland churches, Saint Mary’s Ambleside has a spire. It nestles in the centre of the town, but from the fells above, it becomes a prominent landmark. It reminds me of my time spent here at Charlotte Mason College many years ago!

Little did I think then that I would make my home just a few miles away in Windermere.
