Oven Ready...
...and done to a turn.
Resigned to waiting in all day for a UPS delivery I passed the time usefully by making the Christmas Cake. This was fairly straightforward as lining the tin went smoothly and the fruit had already been weighed, picked over and left to soak in Delia's Special Brew Creole cake alcoholic mix two weeks ago.
Now cooling in the tin it looks pretty good, not burned at the edges like last year - though I do need to renew the brown paper for the 'collar'.
And, at 9pm, it seems unlikely that the UPS delivery will arrive today, so tomorrow I'll have to find something else to do.
